Hippies has a strong impact on drugs and music but hippies also do not listen to rap music so the society cannot say that rappers influence everybody when hippies do not even listen to itself. In the industry everybody think rapping about drugs will make you real popular which in fact it will but outside of the industry the people think that rappers influence children of the ages 13-19 which it does but the rappers are just spitting an image of themselves not telling the teens to go out and smoke pot, that is not what the rappers are telling these teens. Teens take it upon themselves to go out and buy dope and to smoke it. Rappers has no control over what teens do in their everyday lives. Rappers make so many drug references to fit in with the rap game and drugs will forever be what is hot in the industry. I think rappers make a lot of drug references just to get a deal and so they can have tons of income. Nine times out of ten half of the drugs rap about they have never dealt them or took those specific drugs. It is all about the money to rappers, they will speak about a lot of drugs just to keep you informed about what is going on. I believe that rappers music can make you want to do drugs and I also believe that they cannot make you do drugs. Reasons why I say they make people want to do drugs is because when I was listening to this one song called “Up by Wiz

Khalifa ” he stated “Cuz everythings better when your high,/
Everythings better when your high,/
Everythings better when your high,/
If you dont smoke I dont kno why/” And I always wanted to do drugs because of this song but I have never smoked because of this song.

Reasons why I say rappers music don’t make people do drugs are because the rap lyrics aren’t peer pressuring you to put the drugs to your lips. It is all up to the person to do drugs not the lyrics in the song. You don’t have to follow the hype, you can be your own person. Just because rap music influences you to do drugs, don’t mean do them. I do believe that rappers should influence teens in a positive way because these teens really look up to these rappers other than politicians or even their parents.
